2000's Must-Have Album: You Forgot It In People
Must have album of the 2000’s
Broken Social Scene / You Forgot It In People
Simply too much good music during our present decade. But this band and this album in particular has probably received the most play on my stereo since seeing them at Northsix back in 2003.
Runner-ups:
Too many. I plan to present 5 more great albums of the 2000’s next week. Stay tuned.

Bono once said that the songs on this album only sound normal because we’ve heard them a bajillion times by now. But up until 1987, nothing had sounded quite like this album. It was original and inspired.

The Replacements / Tim
Paul Simon / Graceland
1970's Must-Have Album: Closing Time

Big Star / Third-Sister Lovers
Rolling Stones / Exile on Main Street
Bruce Springsteen / Born to Run
1960's Must-Have Album: Astral Weeks

Otis Redding / Otis Blue
Waterloo Sunset
Tomorrow begins my (requested, not self-appointed) task to supply a coworker with my 5 essential albums of all-time, which I plan to do by decade beginning with the 1960’s. And though an album by The Kinks won’t be making that list, this particular song is considered by most to be one of the greatest singles of all time - rightfully so.
Dignity
A song written by Dylan upon hearing of Pete Maravich’s death. It was originally slated for his album Oh Mercy but was omitted from the final master.
