That singer/band/rapper/DJ you love so much now might go from strength to strength year after year. On the other hand, they might move on. Or the inspiration might fade. This might be the moment to see them before it all goes south.
I will forever treasure seeing the National’s hungry, incredible Alligator tour, Sufjan Stevens’ 2004 ATP show in the Queen Mary, Elliott Smith’s final Henry Fonda gig and the dozens of other shows that have to squeeze together to fit the rest of my memories.
I feel the same way about supporting restaurants and bars during their (often too brief) heydays.

hot toddy last night. hot water, juice of 1/2 tangerine, cinnamon stick, and a few dashes of calvados. this is my version of airborne.
Our attempt last night at recreating the veggie meatballs with pesto sauce made over at The Meatball Shop in lower east side.
